Product Overview

FUWA UT28TA 28-ton linked landing gear is a heavy-duty double-speed external gear supporting leg assembly specially developed by FUWA Heavy Industry for heavy semi-trailers. It serves as the core load-bearing component at the front of semi-trailers and is installed in pairs at the gooseneck front of semi-trailers. When the tractor is uncoupled from the semi-trailer, the whole set of landing legs extends and touches the ground to independently bear the front load of the semi-trailer. It keeps the trailer stable during loading & unloading, storage parking and maintenance operations, preventing the trailer from tipping over or sinking. As a member of FUWA's 28-ton heavy-duty series, UT28TA adopts a left-right synchronous lifting structure. Operators can drive both legs to stretch and retract synchronously by turning the hand crank on one side. It balances large load capacity, lightweight design and easy operation. Widely applied on container skeletal semi-trailers, low-bed heavy haul trailers, grain semi-trailers, box semi-trailers and tank semi-trailers. It meets safety standards for domestic and overseas trailer markets and acts as a mainstream premium heavy-duty landing gear product in the global trailer industry.

Main Structure

One complete UT28TA set includes left and right landing legs, external gearbox, two-speed transmission mechanism, lead screw & nut lifting assembly, inner & outer telescopic rectangular tubes, linked transmission shaft, operating hand crank, widened reinforced base plate, mounting connection plate, safety positioning pin, dust cover and built-in oil storage lubrication assembly.

External Gearbox: External gear design delivers good heat dissipation and convenient maintenance. Gears are made of 20CrMnTi alloy steel with carburizing and quenching treatment, featuring high wear resistance and impact resistance, not easy to break teeth under heavy load.

Two-speed Transmission System: High-speed gear for fast retraction & extension to shorten operation time; low-speed gear provides high torque for heavy load lifting and reduces hand-cranking force, so one person can operate easily.

Lifting Lead Screw and Nut: Precision cold-drawn lead screw and high-strength composite nut. The nut is equipped with an internal oil storage groove to realize long-term self-lubrication for the lead screw, reducing frequent grease filling and extending maintenance intervals.

Telescopic Rectangular Tubes: High-strength low-alloy rectangular steel tubes, processed by hydraulic forming and automatic submerged arc welding. It has high dimensional accuracy and strong resistance to bending and lateral load.

Linked Transmission Shaft: Connects left and right landing legs. Single-side crank operation realizes synchronous lifting of two legs to avoid trailer tilting caused by separate lifting of single leg.

Widened Base Plate: Thickened anti-slip base plate increases ground contact area and reduces ground pressure, so it is not easy to sink on muddy ground, construction sites and uneven surfaces. Lifting holes are reserved on the base plate for easy disassembly and maintenance.

Safety Locking Mechanism: Equipped with positioning pin. Insert the pin after the landing leg fully extends to lock the position and prevent unexpected retraction under load pressure, greatly improving operation safety.

Electrophoretic primer plus black topcoat is applied to resist salt spray and rust, adapting to harsh environments such as coastal areas with heavy rainfall, construction sites with sand and stones, and roads with deicing salt in winter.

Lightweight Optimization: Structure optimized on the premise of guaranteed strength. Compared with old heavy landing gears, it reduces weight without sacrificing bearing capacity, helping trailers increase effective payload and cut transportation costs.

Standardized Mounting Interface: Standard hole positions on connection plates. It can directly replace imported landing gears of the same specification, convenient for modification and replacement. OEM customization is available.
