The working principle of a truck mainly includes the following core parts: Engine, transmission system, drive system, braking system, steering system, and suspension system.
Engine
The main source of power for trucks is internal combustion engines, typically using gasoline or diesel engines. The engine produces high-temperature and high-pressure gases by burning fuel, which are converted into mechanical energy to drive the vehicle.
Drive system
The transmission system is responsible for transmitting the power of the engine to the wheels. It includes components such as clutches, transmissions, and driveshafts. The clutch transmits the power of the engine to the transmission, which then transmits the power to the drive wheels through the drive shaft.
Driving system
The drive system ensures that the power generated by the engine can be effectively transmitted to the wheels. This includes components such as manual or automatic transmissions, differentials, and driveshafts. The function of the differential is to enable the drive wheels to rotate independently, ensuring the stability of the vehicle when turning.
Brake system
The braking system is used to slow down or stop the vehicle. It includes a power supply device, a control device, a transmission device, and a brake. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the brake fluid pushes the brake pads against the brake drum, creating resistance and slowing down the vehicle speed.
Steering system
The steering system converts the driver's operation into the steering action of the wheels through the steering column, steering gear, and steering arm, allowing the truck to change direction according to the driver's instructions.
Suspension
The suspension system consists of springs and shock absorbers, which help maintain vehicle stability and reduce bumps. It absorbs and mitigates the impact caused by collisions and bumps during vehicle operation.
Electrical system
The electrical system is responsible for controlling and supplying various components of the truck, such as lighting, dashboard, audio, and air conditioning systems. It consists of a battery, generator, relay, and circuit.
