Main Structural Steel

The main beams are fabricated from ASTM A572 Grade 50 high-strength, low-alloy structural steel, with a minimum guaranteed yield strength of 345 MPa. The section takes the form of a continuous 500 mm deep I-beam, with a differentiated plate thickness design: 14 mm for the top flange, 16 mm for the bottom flange, and 8 mm for the web. This configuration provides additional margin against bending and torsion. Under full-load conditions and with uneven terrain, the section stresses remain well within the elastic range, leaving no residual deformation.

Welding and Surface Treatment

All critical butt and fillet welds on the main beams are carried out using fully automated submerged arc welding with fixed parameters to minimize human variability. After welding, the entire structural assembly goes through shot blasting-this not only removes mill scale from the surface but also uses the impact energy of the abrasive media to relieve a portion of the welding residual stresses, reducing the risk of stress-induced cracking at the source. Once all structural welding is complete, the unit undergoes a full pickling and phosphating process to prepare the surface for primer adhesion. The anti-corrosion coating system follows a dual-layer approach: an epoxy zinc-rich primer, followed by a wear-resistant topcoat. This combination has proven effective in salt-spray coastal environments and on dusty construction sites, delivering a notable improvement in long-term durability.

Load-Bearing Deck

The deck surface is laid with thickened anti-slip checkered steel plates, with flatness held within allowable tolerances. Heavy-duty on-site forklifts can drive directly onto the platform for loading and unloading operations. The deck incorporates embedded mounting bases for container twist locks, with 8 to 12 sets of high-strength twist locks supplied as standard, providing proper fit and clearance with container corner castings. Heavy-duty lashing rings are evenly spaced around the deck perimeter. For non-containerized cargo such as steel products, pallets, and equipment, these rings allow secure fastening using wire ropes or tensioning straps-the lashing points are sufficient in number and conveniently positioned for practical rigging work.

Undercarriage and Suspension Systems

Mechanical Heavy-Duty Leaf Spring Suspension (Standard configuration for African markets)
Features a balanced suspension system with ten widened and thickened steel leaf springs and a synchronized three-axle linkage structure. This design ensures even load distribution, making it highly resistant to impact and suitable for the unpaved dirt and rough gravel roads common in Africa. Its simple structure and use of universal parts allow for quick repairs and replacements at local overseas workshops, resulting in low maintenance and operating costs.
Uses top-tier domestic FUWA heavy-duty axles; wheel hubs feature reinforced sealed bearings that prevent the ingress of dust, water, and grit, ensuring reliability in high-temperature and dusty operating conditions.
Air Suspension (Premium option for Europe, the US, and South Africa)
Utilizes an air-bellows shock-absorption structure for a smoother ride and superior protection for precision instruments and fragile cargo. It ensures stable load transfer during braking and allows for adjustable vehicle height as needed.
Tire and Spare Tire Layout
Comes standard with 12R22.5 heavy-duty tubeless tires, offering high load-bearing capacity and excellent heat dissipation. As shown in the image, multiple spare tires are mounted along the side of the trailer, enabling quick on-site replacement in the event of damage during long-haul trips-a practical solution for remote overseas regions where spare parts are difficult to source.
Support Legs
Equipped with 28-ton capacity dual-action manual mechanical support legs at the front. These provide stable, independent support for the trailer when detached from the tractor unit, preventing the vehicle body from tilting or swaying during loading and unloading operations.
