What Oil Should Be Added To Semi-trailer Accessories

The oil products that need to be added to semi-trailer accessories mainly include diesel, engine oil, and gear oil.

Diesel: Diesel is the main fuel for semi trailers, used to drive the engine. Choosing the appropriate diesel grade is very important, usually based on the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations and local climate conditions. For example, 0 diesel is suitable for environments with temperatures above 4 ℃, while -35 diesel is suitable for low-temperature environments such as winter or cold regions.

Engine oil: Engine oil plays an important role in the maintenance of semi trailers, mainly used to lubricate various components inside the engine, reduce wear, and help cool and clean the engine. When choosing engine oil, one should consider its viscosity grade and performance grade, which are usually recommended by vehicle manufacturers. For example, api (american petroleum institute) performance grades such as ci-4 or ck-4, and sae viscosity grades such as 15w-40 or 5w-40.

Gear oil: Gear oil is used in the gearbox and rear axle of semi-trailer vehicles, mainly to reduce friction and wear between gears, while helping to dissipate heat. When selecting gear oil, it should be ensured that it meets the specifications of the vehicle manufacturer, including viscosity and performance grade.

Choosing and using these oils correctly can not only ensure the optimal performance of the semi-trailer, but also extend its service life and reduce maintenance costs. Therefore, semi-trailer drivers and maintenance personnel should regularly check the condition of the fuel and replace it as needed.
